Universal teeth can fit well, but it's a gamble unless you've tested that specific brand on your specific adapter model. I've learned to verify fit with a sample before ordering bulk universal.


So — Which Should You Buy?

That depends on your specific situation. Here's my rule of thumb after 3 years of managing this spend:

Choose Esco (or another premium OEM) when:

  • You're on a tight budget (but calculate total cost first!)

I'd stay away from: The absolute cheapest universal teeth from unknown sources. In my experience, those have been a false economy 7 times out of 10. The 'savings' disappear when you factor in downtime, adapter damage, and operator frustration. (Take this with a grain of salt — your mileage may vary.)


Final Thought

I'm glad I made the switch to testing properly before committing. Back in 2022, I almost signed a blanket order for cheap universal teeth because the price looked so good.
